Antithesis of Faith Poetry: “Sombriety”
heavy Hearts
Succeed sinful hands
Allow me to lead
The sinner’s Prayer
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father
Wash me
Cleanse me
Make me Whole
somber thoughts of sobriety
consume this Sunday morn’
Drink
in Remembrance
what did you eat
when sin sat at the table
turmoil and trouble
Lord.
Deliver me
heavy Hearts, Succeed sinful hands
Amen.
This poetry series is to not be confused with rhetoric that goes against God, because it’s not. Everything I create is out of reverence of the Creator.
Antithesis of Faith is about identifying the areas in me that go against the favor, because it’s much harder to defeat an enemy when you don’t know what they look like. This series is about creating the space to sit down with God and really sort things out.
Listening to Most High when They say: “I don’t like that thing you do there.”
I love you, and God loves us. Amen. I’m so grateful that He hasn’t given up on me. He hasn’t given up on any of us, remember that. Hallelujah!
Until next time.
